She's at it again...

Yes, I signed up for another race. That was back in July when I was healthy, had lots of evenings to run, and there was still daylight when I got home from work. That was also before I went on vacation, got food poisoning and lost about three weeks of training time because I was wiped-out. That said, this will be my worst race time ever. Though, there's something kind of freeing about letting myself stop running. I'm always so stubborn, "I will run the entire race without stopping!" No walking up hills, no strolling when it hurts etc etc. Not this time.
My longest 'long run' was only 6 miles. They recommend a long run of at least 10 miles before a half-marathon. Oops. So I've devised a walking/running plan for this race that I think will work. I had seriously considered just bagging the whole thing and sleeping in on Sunday, but no. Being a stubborn Dutchman(woman) I have paid my money and I must continue. Maybe this would have been a good lesson on not making decisions based on money! But, my 6 mile run actually felt pretty good and when I ran this race last year, it was actually fun! So, despite having a cold, I'm going to give it a go.
Pray for me at 7:30am on Sunday!
