I had spent the past two days helping to care for Grandpa. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I had to be there. I would do anything for my grandpa. I hadn't slept much the past two nights, but by the time I got to the bookstore I was feeling kind of buzzed, nervous even! Like a groupie or something... yes, PW has groupies, and they were all there. Since Sarah and I had 'A' tickets, we got to get into line first (thanks Mom!) It was funny talking with folks around us- it was like we all knew PW as a friend, talked about her life, her kids, etc. There was even screeching when her eldest daughter walked by! Honestly ; ) But you too will be drawn in once you start reading her blog. Warning: before reading Black Heels to Tractor Wheels you will need to carve out at least 3 hours because you won't be able to stop.
I was so, so tired, but so excited. "Can you see her?" "Oh, I think I see her!!" Sarah and I only had to wait a few minutes before we were at the front of the line. PW was lovely! So nice, very sassy outfit, and she didn't mind having her photo taken... like a hundred times by each person that showed up. It was awesome.
Afterwards we headed to the Kcasa where Mark and the little ones were keeping Grandma and PaPa entertained. It was nice to laugh. A and T are such beacons of joy, it just radiates out from them... except during the occasional whining and bopping of each other : ) But they were a welcome distraction as my thoughts drifted back to Grandpa- he had not woken up when I left his house this time, that hadn't happened before. I knew what was coming, but didn't know it was going to be so soon.

I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning the first time I read PW's love story. Not a smart move on my part. I can't wait until she gives us the next installment. She can't just leave it at the wedding!
